What is Ultranet?

Ultranet is software designed specifically for New Zealand schools to provide online communication and learning management solutions. At the entry level it is a comprehensive public website product, with a range of optional add-ons for school administration and learning support, including multiple user accounts and access levels. Ultranet websites have been in New Zealand schools for over 10 years, and in that time the software has undergone significant developments.

Its core functionality now includes:
  • Mobile device responsive pages with easy to manage drag and drop page editing
  • Customisable "News Centre" for communicating via articles, notices, newsletters and social media
  • Navigation menu that incorporates links to other websites
  • Administration tools for resource bookings, calendars, notices, news (internal and external)
  • Page access controls for setting pages to be non-public for staff, parents and/or students
  • Interactive virtual classroom pages
  • Student/Staff/Parent portal with single sign-on and integration with third party mobile device apps
  • Interoperability with student management systems
  • Student ePortfolios

Who are we?

Ultranet is owned and managed by New Zealand education consultancy business, eTime. eTime has supported principals, teachers and students for over thirteen years, helping to improve teaching, learning and communication. The eTime staff understand what is involved in communicating and connecting with a school community, especially through ICT. We also know how busy schools are - so we make it as easy as possible by personally guiding them through the website set up and design process, followed by online support, and phone or face-to-face interactions where necessary.
